The Secret Seven

Look around when you walk down the lane next time. Do you see a couple of kids trailing you?Can you see a bunch of kids wearing similar badges around?
With their badge on their coats and password in their thoughts,Peter,Janet Jack, Pam, Barbara,George and Colin ,are the Secret seven society. In a christmas season meeting at their head quarters, Peter and Janet's garden shed, the idea of solving mysteries enthralls them. They start keeping their eyes and ears open for anything unusual around them, and lo behold, they stumble into a mystery- just because Jack lost his Secret seven badge in the snow
From that first mystery, the Secret Seven were on a roll, playing detectives and solving mysteries.
Peter, the head, divide the jobs amongst them and each play their part. They show how children can do many things which adults cannot , without attracting people's attention.
Earlier, the Secret Seven society did things to collect money for charity, help the poor etc, but after their first mystery, they kept on finding more. They have solved various cases, including finding a lost diamond necklace, stopping lead robbery from a goods train, catching a dognapper and lots more.
The meetings in the garden shed are always a fun part to read because the funniest and quirkiest things are are done by the seven kids along with Scamper, Peter and Janet's Golden Spaniel. And of course, there's always food involved. Their makeshift headquarters-a tree house which features in the third book in the series is a nice read too.

Grab a book of this series to see how kids manage to do things which adults can't and all the fun involved...
