The Famous Five

Julian, Dick and Anne goes to Kirrin for the first time because their parents had to go abroad leaving them with their aunt Fanny. Cousin Georgina seems to be the most rudest person they had ever met.She keeps Timothy , a stray mongrel with a fisher boy as her own pet though her parents disapprove of it,She never answers when she is called Georgina, but only to George.She even claims own Kirrin island in the bay...

But then, children have a way of befriending. George took her cousins out to the Kirrin Bay on her boat, even showed them the Kirrin island.The four cousins tumble onto an adventure finding gold ingots making their holiday the best yet.Since then the four cousins got together for every hols and each time they found themselves in the middle of unusual things.

Though secret passages and tunnels are frequent in almost all the Famous Five stories, you don't really notice that it is highly unlikely for them to exist wherever these kids go. It gives a sort of sense of freedom because the four cousins do things that normally children these days dont get to do. They go camping by themselves,go caravanning and makes friends with the circus folk, take a break on the mountains to get rid off their coughs and what not!

When school work piles up and you need a break, take a trip with enthusiastic Julian, Pleasant Dick,wild George and little Anne.
